Looking for a family doctor or nurse practitioner in the kenora region?
Seeing a primary care provider — like a family doctor or nurse practitioner — is an important part of staying healthy. If you live in the Kenora region and don’t currently have a regular healthcare provider, there are two ways to connect with primary care:
1. Register with Health Care Connect
The Health Care Connect program helps people without a family doctor or nurse practitioner find one. When you register, a Care Connector will work to match you with a provider who is accepting new patients in your area.
You can register if you:
- Have a valid Ontario health (OHIP) card
- Are not already registered with a family doctor or nurse practitioner
- Live in Ontario full-time

2. Unattached Patient Appointments – Sunset Country Family Health Team
If you are not currently attached to a provider, you may also be eligible for unattached patient appointments through the Sunset Country Family Health Team.
These appointments are designed to support people in the Kenora area who need timely access to primary care, but do not have a regular doctor or nurse practitioner.
