The All Nations Health Partners (ANHP) Privacy and Security Working Group is focused on aligning privacy governance and operations models among partnering health agencies.
Role of the Privacy and Security Group
The current role of the Privacy and Security Group is to:
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN TO ME AS A PATIENT?
The Privacy & Security Working Group has brought local healthcare providers together to ensure that personal health information is shared securely and only when it supports your care. Their work allows the right people to access your medical history when you need help, while maintaining strong privacy protections.
If your medical records are held within one of the participating partner organizations, your care provider at another partner site can securely access that information when needed. This means they can see a more complete picture of your health — including known conditions, medications, and past treatments — to make informed decisions about your care and ensure that you receive the most appropriate support without delays or unnecessary duplication.
All providers who signed this agreement must follow Ontario’s privacy laws, and you keep important rights over your information, including the ability to see your records — and to ask that they not be shared with certain providers. The working group’s goal is to balance high-quality, coordinated care with strong privacy protections for every patient.
